After months of planning, preparation, and building, I am happy to announce that my website is officially up and running. How exciting!

While you may have already discovered the About Me page, I'd like to reintroduce myself. My name is Nanala McMillan (she/they) and I am based in the United States. I've always been a bit of an artist and writer at heart, but when I was given the outlet of mindful living it only felt right to combine the two. Not only can I delve deeper into myself through a creative form, but I can also inspire others to do the same.

The teachings of interbeing and The Noble Eightfold Path have had profound impacts on my life. Learning to live in a way that promotes the wellbeing of myself and others (seeing that we're all connected), looking deeply into how my thoughts and actions influence my way of life, and using the obstacles that come to me as an opportunity to reflect and grow. I've struggled a lot growing up, and there are still aspects in which I struggle with today, but learning to live in the moment with great reverence for myself and all around me has shone a light forward. A path once dark now defined with light as it twists and turns, changing every moment in reaction to what I consume.

You may be wondering... what can I expect from "NurturingNanala", what is this exactly?

As much as it is a passion project, it is also a gift to the world. I hope to bring my writing and artwork to light to help others get in touch with their inner nature. While the audience is all-ages, I have a special spot in my heart for young adults like myself who often struggle with finding a purpose in life and unmindful consumption from societal conditioning and pressure. I want to pave a path of inspiration for those like me who are young and searching for their inner nature and presence, an invitation to explore the depths of our heart, mind, and soul to better understand our own suffering in order to relieve those hidden knots within us and truly touch peace. To help the greater world, we must start with ourselves.

With these visions and aspirations brewing, I intend to use this platform to share my works of art and writing, as well as open a shop to sell mindful crafts to help create a positive at-home environment for our daily practice. As I continue to develop my practice and establish myself, there is a possibility in the future that I may create mindfulness programs and workshops available for others to participate in.

With this foundation created, I feel grateful for all those who have supported me on my journey and where I am today. I am moved by the beautiful teachings and stories that have been shared with me and I feel deeply in my heart that whatever path this leads me down will be a nourishing one.

Smile & Be Well,

Nanala
